If you love the elements that go into the design of a wedding and spend hours pouring over the gorgeous styled shoots and images on Pinterest and wedding blogs then this course could be the answer. We show you how to take your inspiration and creativity and channel it into the design of a wedding. You will learn how to take the briefest of ideas and turn it into a concept by using design tools such as mood boards, colour swatches, fabric samples and flower charts. You will understand how to design a table from the bottom up and how to layout and structure each element on it. We cover the production and logistics of styling a wedding so you can understand how to produce your wedding flawlessly. Finally, you will be shown how to communicate your design to your clients and produce the perfect client proposal.

There are 16 modules in this course divided into 5 sections with 5 Assignments. You will also have access to a library of additional resources, including a detailed section called; Becoming a Wedding Stylist, by acclaimed Wedding Stylist, Louise Beukes. The average completion time for this course is 12 weeks, but you will have up to 1 year to finish your course with the support of Dee McMeeking; Wedding Planner, Wedding Stylist, Floral Designer, & Tutor.

Who is the Certified Wedding Styling Course suitable for?

This course is ideal for anyone with a love of Weddings, Styling and Design. The focus of this course is teaching the student how to work as a Stylist at a Wedding. The skills and knowledge taught in this course could also applied to styling other celebrations.

What does a Wedding Stylist do?

A Wedding Stylist works with a couple to bring the design elements of their day together. There is no set list of duties for a Wedding Stylist, but these are some of the jobs you could expect to be doing when working as a Wedding Stylist: Meet with the couple to learn more about their vision for the day Design a Styling Plan for the couple's wedding Source items to bring the couple's wedding day look together Be there on wedding day to set up and style the wedding (pack down may also be a job you are required to help with).

Will this course help me to understand the business side of being a Wedding Stylist?

Yes. In this course we teach you about the logistics of Wedding Styling, Client Consultations, Proposals, Contracts and Budgets.

Does this course include Floral Design and Styling?

Working with flowers as a Wedding Stylist is covered in this course, but for more in-depth training about Floral Event Styling, we recommend our Certification in Floral & Event Styling.

I have taken your Wedding Planning Styling and Design Course. Is this course still suitable for me?
